Area Law Enforcement
Around fifty cars have been smeared with what appears to be blood from a person in the Germany's town of Hanau near Frankfurt, according to law enforcement.
Automobiles, walls and mailboxes were vandalized, in some cases with Nazi symbols, they announced in a release.
Law enforcement state they were notified in the late hours on Wednesday, when a individual discovered that a automobile in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been covered with a reddish liquid.
The liquid had been placed in the pattern of a Nazi symbol, they added.
Police then located many other marked cars and building exteriors in the nearby vicinity.
Swastikas are illegal in Germany under laws prohibiting the public exhibition of Nazi symbols.
Law enforcement report early analysis suggest the liquid was likely human blood.
"There is still no clue as to where it came from; officials are not yet cognizant of any injuries in connection with the occurrence," they commented.
City officials announced they were working "to solve the incident" and have asked to the public for details.
A senior representative commented the vandalism rendered him speechless and required to be solved rapidly.
"This act hits the center of Hanau and revives the pain of the right-wing attack half a decade ago," he wrote on social media, recalling the murder of nine people by a shooter targeting individuals of immigrant origin in five years prior.
