Football Analyst Sutton Battles Artist Olly Murs in Top Flight Forecasts

The Gunners' 10-game winning streak was ended by the Black Cats prior to the international break, however will the English top division leaders recover against north London rivals Tottenham this weekend?

"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," stated soccer expert Chris Sutton.

"Frank will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still find a way to win."

Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this term, against artificial intelligence, fans and a variety of guests.

For the twelfth round, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.

The singer's latest record, the new release, is available on Friday.

Football and Family Life

Murs is a talented footballer as well as a accomplished artist and has been a featured player of multiple charity football matches over time - but he is not intending a serious comeback as a footballer.

"{I recently played in a charity match the other night for a mate of mine," he said. "My team was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!

"I continue to love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it seriously again.

"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my daughter or boy decides to play instead."

The singer and his wife Amelia Tank have two children, Madison and their son, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their manager.

"I will not force football on our kids but I've already told my wife that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be managing their weekend football team," he said.

"I watched my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly was involved with a soccer team for a period too.

"My father did it with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I get it from. He managed our side for two or three seasons and had great fun with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Top Division Forecasts

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues may have to be patient for their star's comeback from injury but their offense is now stronger with Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.

In my opinion this fixture will be quite tight, though. Burnley are disciplined and their sole home losses so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.

This smells of a one-all draw to me, but I am in fact going to choose the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive Premier League win in a row.

The expert's prediction: 1-2

Olly's pick: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3

AI's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have lost their past two matches - albeit both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which surprised me.

On the other hand, West Ham secured two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they do look strong again.

The Hammers' only on the road win this season came at Nottingham Forest in August, when their manager Nuno was still Forest manager.

So, what exactly do I predict here - will it be the Hammers extending their run under their manager, or Bournemouth bouncing back?

I will choose Bournemouth, because I think what happened against Aston Villa was a blip.

Sutton's forecast: 2-0

Olly's prediction: The home team are performing strongly but the visitors have picked up under their boss. 2-2

The algorithm's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were seen as one of the frontrunners for the drop before the season started, but they have impressed a few people under their manager and are in fine fettle with three wins in their past four games.

A family member told me to select Bees forward Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks ago and, guess what, I ignored the advice.

The forward will likely find the net again on Saturday but I am still not going to select him or support the away side at Brighton's ground.

They have not had much fortune on the travel this season, and Brighton are always decent at their stadium. Brentford will try to hit them on the break but I think Fabian Hurzeler's team carry much more of a danger.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

The singer's view: This could be a match where you expect there is going to be a many goals but it in reality proves to be quite close. 1-1

The computer's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a massive fixture for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six games.

They have have lots of talent in their team but it still seems like they could be sucked into a relegation fight.

As for the Black Cats, well they are the surprise package of the top flight campaign so far.

The away side's performance in the 2-2 draw with the Gunners last time out was superb. We've not seen anyone else disrupt the North London side like that this term, and they were more than a match for them.

The logical choice would be to support the Black Cats here, because they are obviously able of roughing Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they defeated the Blues at the close of October.

However I am not going to do that. Rather, I really need to continue opposing the away team with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their good outcomes because they evidently love to defy my predictions.

Looking at Fulham's at Craven Cottage record, the sole team they have lost to is the league leaders. Their manager's side will be extremely desperate for a good result, so I am going to predict they will pick up three points.

The expert's prediction: 1-0

The guest's prediction: I'm aware the visitors are performing strongly and also that Fulham are on a bad streak... but they have still been respectable at Craven Cottage this season. 2-0

The algorithm's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a hard fixture to predict. The Reds have suffered seven of their past 10 games in all competitions, but could they be one of the teams who profit from the {international break|
