Netflix Casts Spot-On Actor for Bon Clay in the Hit Series Season 3
The Secret Organization is set to play a huge role in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, though the major clash isn’t set to occur until season 3, and a cherished, popular member has just been cast.
The platform declared recently that Cole Escola will appear in the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will embody Mr. 2. The role can use their power to transform into an identical duplicate of any person they’ve made contact with with their right hand. The performer, who is gender non-conforming and prefers they/them pronouns, will portray a rendition of that figure reimagined as non-binary identifying, instead of as a drag performer, in the live-action series, differing from the original manga and cartoon version.
This performer joins a number of new cast members set to bring the organization to life, such as chief the main antagonist, portrayed by Joe Manganiello, a talented actress as Miss Goldenweek, and a familiar face, who is also part of the cast as King Nefertari Cobra of the fictional land.
Even though the role is a key figure of the organization, the individual won’t make their debut One Piece the upcoming installment. With the second season expected to adapt the Little Garden segment, this signals a notable change in the timing of the character’s debut, one that could signal further changes to the narrative framework.
Their mix of sharp comedic timing and emotional depth makes them a perfect fit for the role. Besides their latest vocal work in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and numerous honors for penning and acting in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, emphasizing the range they’ll add to one of One Piece’s most celebrated roles.
The streaming service’s real-life One Piece series is set to return for its next installment on the tenth of March, 2026.
